About Danette

I am Danette Skocy, a 30 years old mother of 2  beautiful children.  I have been married for 7 years to my husband Jeremy. I grew up in Pierce City,MO.  I have 2 older sisters and an older brother and a younger brother.  My son, Alex is 7 and is the 2nd grade and my daughter Lanie is 4 and is in preschool.  I am finally returning to school after 7 years to finish my degree in Elementary Education.  I have work for Joplin Schools for the last 2 years in the Autism room.  Though returning to school made it impossible for me to still work at the school  I hope to still visit my students from time to time.  |
I am from a large family that is very close.  I married the oldest of 7 boys.  So family get togethers are quiet loud and lots of fun.  My husband is in the U.S. Army Reserves, and was deployed to Iraq 3 weeks after we were married.  Our son was 7 months old when he first meet his dad.  We have been through a lot of separate time and now are both full time students and employed full time also. 
We are huge sports (mostly NFL and College football)  Love our Mizzou Tigers and Green Bay Packers.  We have 2 dogs and a cat.  I am very excited to return to school and hope to graduate in 3 years.
